It has been alleged that Abano also wrote a grimoire called the Heptameron, a concise book of ritual magical rites concerned with conjuring specific angels for the seven days of the week (hence the title). It should not be confused with the Heptameron of Marguerite of Navarre.3/5(4). The tales of which it consists are for the most part very short, some being rather sketches or outlines of tales than actually worked-out stories, so that, although there are no less than a hundred and twenty-nine of them, the whole book is probably not half the bulk of the Heptameron itself.

The Heptameron Summary Oisilleappears in Various Stories. Oisille is described as being an old widow. She is the oldest member of the group of storytellers. Due to her age, Oisille seems to have been appointed as the unofficial leader of the group. Oisille is the first refugee to make her way to the abbey of Our Lady at Sarrance.   Marguerite de Navarre's Heptameron is a collection of seventy amusing stories which constitute a revealing "window" on the literate minority of the 16th century. Their principal focus is how men and women treat each other, not only then but perhaps always/5(3).
